Focus: Window of Opportunity – Sept. 2016

I enjoy driving around Sheridan and seeing our church’s welcome signs placed strategically around town. Our family has found the sign’s words to be true – we have been welcomed with open arms to our caring and fun church.
Clyde Sites told me the hilarious story that he and Charles Creech were installing the sign pictured above beside the Sonic Drive In. While holding the sign, Clyde said he was on a ladder when his trousers fell down around his knees, and he was unable to let go to grab them! And Charles Creech loves to remind him of it!

I am grateful that Clyde and Charles and others took the time and effort to install these signs of welcome. And more importantly, I am thankful that our church lives up to and exceeds the words on it when it comes to inviting and receiving new people to worship and Sunday

With the beginning of the fall school year and Labor Day upon us, we have a window of opportunity to invite people to our caring and fun church. Jesus told His disciples, “I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see how the fields are white for harvest.” (John 4:35)

Our Wednesday Soul Food Café will begin on September 14 along with our children’s ministry as we get geared backup for fall. I hope you’ll be intentional to invite neighbors and friends to church with you.

I look forward to seeing you in Sunday school and Divine Worship this coming Sunday!

Blessings in Christ,
Bro. Daniel
